I'm Mark van Roojen, a professor of philosophy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I mainly teach and publish in the areas of metaethics and ethics. This is an oldschool website for the most part, so I have retained the sidebar menu. But I'm cleaning up this top page to fit contemporary web aesthetics and to fool people into thinking I'm a responsible adult. My teaching and research interests are covered in more depth via further links on the philosophy page linked in the sidebar and below. There are similar further links in the pages covering my too numerous hobbies

As you can tell this website is pretty old in both visual style and content. I first put it up 29ish years ago and it has grown with time without major reformatting. These days I don't update it as often I used to but I am trying a bit to edit out things that are no longer true and to make at least the professional bits a little easier to navigate. The hobby related stuff may grow but I don't plan to change what is there very much.
